About The Role
We are looking for a motivated Intermediate level Accountant to join our dream team. In this role, you won't just be a number-cruncher hidden in a back room; you will be an integral part of our growth story. You'll work closely with our senior leaders, including our founder, to manage a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from innovative startups to established local enterprises.
This is a hands-on position for someone ready to step up. You will balance technical compliance with high-level advisory support, helping our clients navigate everything from standard tax returns to complex capital gains tax (CGT) and Division 7A workings. Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
* Preparation and management of taxation compliance for ITR, CTR, TRT, FBT, BAS and PTR.
* Preparation of detailed CGT calculations and Division 7A workings.
* Assisting senior staff with tax planning strategies and complex advisory matters.
* Liaising directly with clients and the ATO to resolve queries.
* Reviewing cloud-based bookkeeping (Xero and MYOB) to ensure data integrity.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal firm processes.
What You Will Bring
* 3+ years' experience in a public practice environment.
* A bachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
* CA or CPA qualified (or currently making great progress toward it).
* Strong technical tax knowledge and a high level of attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Xero and related cloud-based accounting ecosystems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills: we value "real" conversations.
* A proactive, commercial mindset with a drive to help clients succeed.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
