BAKER POSITION – BRUMBY'S EDGE HILL
Brumby's Edge Hill at 6/86 Woodward Street, Edgehill, QLD, 4870, Australia is looking for a Full Time BAKER.
Our business operating times are as follows:
KITCHEN TIMES: Bakers start at midnight (12:00AM) until 7:30 – 8:00AM.
BUSINESS HOURS: 5:30AM until 5:00PM (Monday to Friday) and 6:00AM until 2:00PM (Weekends).
Fulltime position offering a yearly salary ranging from $70,000 to $76,000.00 PLUS 12% Superannuation. Dependent upon the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
TASKS INCLUDE:
There may be additional duties during the course of employment, listed below is a summary of the tasks performed by our baker.
* Ensuring all ingredients are of a good quality, this includes any raw materials used.
* Manage and record supplies as well as gathering the weights of any food ingredients for the preparation of baked goods.
* Maintain a clean area and ensure everything is presentable before business opening (5:30AM). This includes work area, equipment and any other supplies used.
* Cleaning and preparing baking trays and equipment required during the day. Complete the physical acts associated with baking this can include but is not limited to:
o Kneading, cutting, maturing, moulding, mixing & shaping, pastry goods (preparation, etc).
o Once the preparation duties are completed, the baker will operate the relevant machinery. This must be done adhering to all safety requirements.
o This will also require the applicant to correctly coordinate the forming, loading and unloading & cooling of the baked goods to ensure everything aligns.
* Consistently monitor the appearance of baked goods during each stage of production to ensure they will be appealing to customers. This will require the applicant to monitor temperatures, baking time, etc. Once baked goods are ready the baker is also responsible for decorating and glazing of a variety of items.
* Ensure that all actions completed are in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. This requires the successful candidate to have a working understanding of these requirements as well as the ability to effectively remain up to date with any changes to them.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Have at least a relevant AQF or equivalent Certificate III; and
* At least 4 years of relevant work experience when applying.
