THE OPPORTUNITY
This role is responsible for assembling, sewing, and finishing neoprene coolers while ensuring quality control and accurate packaging. You will also prepare production documentation, using production control software, and manage dispatch processes based on sales orders and assist in stock taking.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Operate sewing machines to sew cooler panels fully or in part as required.
* Assemble and finish neoprene coolers according to production guidelines.
* Ensure all products meet quality standards before packaging.
* Pack finished products into appropriately sized cartons for shipping.
* Inspect sewn components for quality and accuracy.
* Prepare and maintain production documentation.
* Complete operational steps in the production control software.
* Select the correct delivery method based on sales order information and delivery address.
* Generate and attach dispatch labels accurately.
YOUR BACKGROUND
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
* Basic sewing skills and experience operating sewing machines are an advantage.
* Familiarity with production control software or ability to learn quickly.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control.
* Work is performed in a production environment with exposure to machinery and materials.
* Requires standing for extended periods and handling materials.
* May require lifting and moving cartons and materials up to 16 kg.
