Campbelltown Private Hospital are seeking a highly passionate, dynamic and engaging Nurse Unit Manager on a permanent full-time basis for our Day of Surgery Unit.

About us

Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose built private hospital located in Park Central, the ever-growing medical hub of Campbelltown.Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 48 Surgical beds, 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit.We offer excellent employee conditions with extensive support, professional development and future leadership opportunities.

As a Nursing Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

o Providing operational direction for Day Surgery to ensure efficient and effective management
o Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
o Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
o Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
o Undertaking direct nursing care, as required
o Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards
o Current Registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse with no restrictions
o Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience in acute surgical hospital
o Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
o Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
o Understand the requirements of private health funding
o A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
o High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
o Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
o Tertiary post graduate qualifications in Nursing Management
o A demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety legislation.
o A demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement, change management, models of care, evidence based practice and practise development.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - NSWNMA / AMNF - Nurses and Midwives Agreement – NUM classification starting from $62.46 to $67.18 per hour.

Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
