Are you a high-energy HR leader who thrives "on the floor" rather than in a corporate tower?
We are working with a leading purpose disability and youth services provider based in Greater Western Sydney.
They are an NDIS success story: highly profitable, financially stable, and boasting employee engagement scores exceeding 90%.
They are currently moving into a growth phase, including a potential acquisition that could increase their workforce. We need a Director of People & Culture who can move beyond traditional compliance to lead true Organisational Development (OD) and cultural integration.
About the Environment
They aren't your typical corporate setting. The CEO's office is located right next to the service delivery floor. They believe leadership works well when it is visible and connected to the participants and frontline people they serve. If you are looking for a plush corner office, this isn't the role for you - but if you want to lead with heart and see the immediate impact of your work, they offer an environment like no other.
The Scale of the Role
* Workforce: Lead a team of ~300 employees (approx. 200 FTE).
* Reach: Directly impact the lives of over 400 participants.
* Expansion: Oversee the people strategy for 12 existing residential sites, with a strategic goal to expand to over 30 sites within three years.
What You'll Do
* Drive Strategic Growth: Lead the "change piece" and cultural alignment during significant mergers and acquisitions.
* Unlock Potential: Create innovative OD frameworks to coach and mentor talented frontline staff into future leaders.
* Strategic Advisory: Act as a candid partner to the CEO and provide insightful data and risk analysis directly to the Board.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end employee journey, ensuring best practices in recruitment, learning and development, compliance and award adherence.
Who You Are
* A "Go-Getter": You possess high energy and the ability to execute quickly.
* Professionally Courageous: You have the intellectual acumen to provide constructive challenge and "push-back" when it serves the best interests of the organisation.
* Egalitarian Leader: You are comfortable in a lean, open-plan environment and enjoy being approachable to staff at all levels.
* Award Savvy: You can learn or navigate the complexities of the SCHADS Award and other industrial regulations with ease.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in HR, OD, or Business.
* Proven record as a senior HR leader, ideally within community services or a similarly complex, multi-site environment.
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel between local sites.
* Ability to satisfy all probity requirements, including National Police and Working with Children Checks.
If you are ready to trade the corporate tower for a role where you are an integral part of the community you support, we want to hear from you.
