Tritium crafts advanced DC fast chargers that keep electric vehicles on the road. We're not just another company scaling up; we're deep in the trenches of product development for the EV fleets of tomorrow. That means we're doing genuinely innovative work that's far from business-as-usual.
Why This Role Matters
Imagine a torrent of data flowing in from chargers all over the globe. That data needs to be transformed into crystal-clear insight for different audiences: from customers wanting user-friendly reports to internal teams making reliability decisions. In other words, you're turning raw data into something everyone from engineers to execs can actually use. It's a crucial gig.
What You'll Do
You'll wrangle data from multiple sources, turn chaos into order, and deliver reports and dashboards that make sense of it all. You'll be a guardian of data quality and a guide for stakeholders who need answers from the numbers.
More specifically, you'll:
* Gather data from various sources, such as databases, files, external systems, surveys, and online platforms
* Assess, manipulate and transform complex data into a structured format suitable for analysis
* Present analysis results in a clear and concise manner via reports and dashboards
* Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and address specific questions
* Strengthen data governance including quality, availability, access control, configuration and provenance
* Travel as required, possibly internationally
* Mentor other team members to share your knowledge and skills
Key Skills You'll Bring
You've got a background in Data Engineering or a similar field and experience in Python, C# .NET, TypeScript, SQL, and AWS data tools. You're familiar with Power BI and understand how to build and manage Data Lakes. If you know a thing or two about Grafana or have worked with EV charging or manufacturing metrics, even better.
We are looking for someone who has:
* A Degree in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
* Experience with C# .NET, Python, Typescript, SQL and data driven programming
* Experience in AWS Data Pipelines and related data offerings (Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, Lambdas)
* Experience in MS Power BI (Fabric) and Power Query
* Understanding of Data Lakes, Warehouses and Data Marts
* Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to consistently work to a high standard with minimal supervision; self-motivated
* Knowledge or experience with Grafana
* Knowledge or experience with Databricks and/or QuickSight
* Knowledge or experience in reporting data sets for performant web applications.
* Knowledge or experience in manufacturing and associated common reporting metrics.
* Knowledge or experience in the Electric Vehicle industry and Fast Charging.
What We Offer
A collaborative, on-site culture. The data team works together at our Murarrie headquarters alongside the engineers who design and build our chargers, giving you direct access to product expertise and faster iteration.
Practical perks that matter: free EV fast charging on site, novated leasing through our payroll provider, and earned wage access so you can access pay before payday when needed.
Additional standard benefits: discounts on energy, health insurance and travel, with partners including Medibank, AHM, Booking.com and Virgin Australia.
How to Apply
Shoot us a CV and a brief cover note about a data project that you've been involved in where you've really showcased what you're made of. Make sure you include some examples of where you've also used C# in prior roles
We're all about diverse teams and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
