Overview
American Express Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) manages all aspects of merchant relationships. GMNS Australia is a large contributor of active locations in force (ALIF) in the region and has potential for significant growth. The Business Enablement team is a new team within GMNS to provide first line of support and enable both protection and growth for GMNS business. The team works closely with Control Management, Field and COEs (MCO, GCO and Risk).
How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to be part of this team and contribute to making a difference to the business.
Core responsibilities
- Identify, own, and drive OREs to resolution in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, execute on auditor requests, and implement remediation plans
- Efficient and timely implementation of regulatory changes, including enhancements to existing processes and systems
- Establish systems and procedures to enforce robust AML/KYC procedures
- Ensure Risk, Compliance and Audit policies are adhered to across the Onboarding process
- Ownership and accountability of audit results, outcomes and remediations
- Management and resolution of compliance gaps
- Identify and implement projects to improve POC and activation
- Align with GMNS businesses and coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Marketing, Operational Excellence and Operations teams
- Document Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
- Strong process and Project Management skills with results orientation and proficiency with metrics/KPIs
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong change management and communication skills
- Strategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with detailed project documentation
- Influencing skills and ability to build relationships with business stakeholders
- Experience in compliance-related roles is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality documentation
- Fast learner, able to understand operational processes and capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
- Strong collaboration, influencing and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to influence without authority
