We service Southern and Eastern suburbs covering areas from Victoria Park, Armadale and Fremantle to Rockingham.Centrecare Sky Service encourages children and their families to reach their full potential and helps them feel confident, happy and safe.A few specificsTo assist children and families to move from homelessness into housing within the wider community. In particular:To help children who have experienced homelessness or have been at risk of homelessness with the development of life skills and healthy child development through counselling and support.Undertake assessment and counselling of children specifically, and their families so as to improve and enhance their overall personal and social development, and their health and wellbeing.Through a case management approach, develop a client focused support plan for each child and their family referred to the service by identified family tenancy support services.Act as a referral source and advocate to children and families identified in crisis accommodation and public tenancy support programs.Help families and individuals plan for secure long-term accommodation.Rostered 10am - 6pm shifts and Saturday shifts.Selection criteriaMinimum tertiary level qualification, bachelor's degree in either Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Aboriginal Studies and related disciplines.Ability to work with marginalised and disadvantaged groups of people especially children.Demonstrated experience in the provision of counselling to children and families.Relevant experience in the areas of outreach services, individual/family support and/or case management.Able to work 10am to 6pm weekdays and Saturday 9am to 5pm.3 – 5 years of experience in a similar position.Federal Police Clearance and Working with Children Card.Possession of a current driver’s licence and vehicle.BenefitsAccess to corporate health cover provided by Bupa and Medibank PrivateExcellent salary packaging options (up to $15,900)Annual leave loading at 17.5%Extra 5 days leave per year pro rataAccess to professional development trainingInsurance cover to and from workEmployee Assistance ProgramHow To ApplyClick apply for this job and you will be taken to our online job board where you can access full Application Package.
