We are currently searching for several reliable Depot Support Workers to join the team at our Tullamarine Depot in a Full-Time capacity.
As a Depot Support Worker, you are responsible for ensuring all buses are checked, refuelled each night and parked in the depot to allow buses to run out in the morning in line with the Operational Run out roster. In addition, you will ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance duties are completed to ensure our premises is kept in a clean and orderly condition.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Hold a current Victorian driver licence (not Probationary) with the appropriate Heavy Vehicle Endorsement (Heavy Rigid Endorsement preferred for bus drivers of charter vehicles) and ideally significant experience driving a passenger bus.
Gain an understanding of and be willing to obey and implement:
o The Road Safety Road Rules of Victoria;
o The Transport (Passenger) Regulations 2005 (as they relate to bus operations);
o Bus Safety Act 2009 and Bus Safety Regulations 2010;
o National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and fatigue rules;
o bus tracking and other on-board technologies; and
o The company Management Information System (MIS), Handbook and all other company Policies and Procedures.
Integrity, teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
Have acceptable literacy and numeracy skills in the English language.
Be prepared to work on a roster that will include working on nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Proven working experience as a cleaner ensuring that safety equipment (PPE) is used when required.
Reliable and maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Knowledge and use of various cleaning chemicals and supplies.
