Deli Team Leader
Full Time | Longford
We are seeking a Full Time Deli Team Leader to join our team at our Longford store.
If you have experience working in a deli department or within the food industry, enjoy leading by example, and are passionate about developing people and delivering outstanding customer service, we would love to hear from you.
As a Deli Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the deli department while helping to lead, coach and nurture your team. You'll work closely with your Store Leadership team to ensure the department is well organised, beautifully presented, and operating safely and efficiently.
What you'll do:
* Providing warm, attentive customer service and setting the standard on the floor
* Assisting with the leadership, training and development of the deli team
* Supporting the organisation and smooth operation of the department
* Preparing, handling and presenting deli products, including meat and seafood (cooked and uncooked)
* Ordering and maintaining stock levels
* Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and workplace health and safety
* Working collaboratively with leadership to support daily store operations
What you'll bring:
* Previous experience in a deli or food-based role (leadership experience desirable)
* Confidence and comfort handling meat and seafood, both cooked and uncooked
* A friendly attitude and strong communication skills
* A genuine interest in leading, teaching and supporting your team
* A love of working with food and people (customers and colleagues alike)
* Energy, initiative, and a willingness to take and give direction
* The ability to follow company procedures and regulatory requirements
* Physical fitness for lifting and standing throughout the day
* Ongoing daytime availability, including every second weekend (your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements)

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The base hourly pay rates for level 4 adults are:
Full time
* Weekdays $28.12
* Saturday $35.15
* Sunday $42.18
Additional penalty rates may apply to weekends and public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts. (Casual employees also receive a casual loading, increasing their base pay rate).
