The Role Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, this position plays a key role in month-end, statutory reporting and compliance obligations across a group of entities with a substantial annual turnover.
Responsibilities Daily bank reconciliations and liaison with AP/AR teams Preparation of organisation-wide month-end journal entries (accruals, prepayments, payroll etc.) Preparation of timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, WorkCover and other statutory obligations (TPAR, Payment Times Reporting) Administration of banking facilities and management of system users Analysis and commentary for the Corporate division, including monthly meetings with managers Support with budgeting, forecasting and annual business planning Assistance with annual financial statements, external audit and internal audit requirements Contribution to project work and continuous improvement initiatives Ensuring use of internal finance systems and digital tools in line with organisational standards The Candidate A degree in Accounting with a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role CPA or CA qualified or currently studying Strong systems capability with an interest in learning new ERP platforms Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong stakeholder communication skills A resilient, energetic approach and a willingness to take ownership of tasks Ability to build effective relationships across the business
