Work Type: Part - Time. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 3pm

Annual Base Salary: $35-45 per hour

In this part-time Operations Assistant role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, managing customer service, order fulfilment and online presence. You'll also play a key role in supporting new products, updating Shopify, quoting and business growth. If you love being part of a small, innovative team, this could be the perfect fit! Australian Pottery Supplies is a growing ceramics-focused business servicing schools, ceramic spaces, and large tender customers. Based in Torquay, we offer a unique combination of e-commerce, in person classes and industry events. Our small, dedicated team fosters a welcoming and collaborative environment. This role supports studio and logistics operations and reports to the CEO & Operations Manager. You'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and helping the business scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and in store
* Pick, pack and dispatch online orders and coordinate courier bookings
* Maintain shopify listings and update website content
* Use of walker stacker, pallet jack (or willingness to learn)
* General lifting of products and moving between the warehouse and studio space. Warehouse logistics and space management
* Monitor analytics and customer engagement tools
* Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers for reorders
* Assist with scheduling studio classes and managing staff rosters
* Support marketing and promotional materials in Canva or Adobe
* Coordinate events, workshops and in studio promotions
Must haves
* Previous customer service or admin experience
* Experience in system and procedures SOPS
* Proficiency with Shopify, Excel, Google workspace and reporting
* Competence in Canva or Adobe suite
Nice to have
* Experience in social media content and scheduling
* Interest in ceramics or creative industries
* Competent using power tools & cutting/ making pallets
* Payroll/ HR experience
* Stock importing and logistics management
