Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Senior data engineers design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines to meet business needs. In this role, you will work closely with a three-person specialist team to automate firewall implementation across Legacy and CoreMod infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy high-performance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using MS SQL Server to consolidate 5 million network flows into contextualised, validated firewall rules.
* Produce controller-ready JSON/CSV exports conforming to CSM import formats and APIC object model payloads for the Python developer to automate rule implementation via Cisco APIs.
* Create Tidal job definitions, retries, alerts, and exception queues to orchestrate the workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Expert-level knowledge of MS SQL Server (T-SQL, indexing, partitioning, window functions, query tuning).
* Experience in building high-performance ETL pipelines for large-scale datasets (5M+ rows).
* Understanding of controller-ready export formats (JSON/CSV) for network automation platforms.
* Proficiency in Tidal or similar orchestration tools.
* Excellent collaborative team player with a data engineering mindset.
