Overview
Anaesthetic Nurse / Anaesthetic Technician role at Healthscope. Mount Hospital opportunities available on a part-time and full-time basis.
Responsibilities
* Assists the Anaesthetist as directed with ongoing care of the patient throughout the intra-operative phase.
* Prepares all required equipment, ensuring correct functioning, for allocated operating lists.
* Maintains and develops clinical skills in order to manage patient health problems appropriate to competency level.
* Ensures high standard of patient care, utilising appropriate resources cost effectively.
* Functions within legal and registration constraints in relation to anaesthetic practice.
* Recognises hazards to patient safety and takes the appropriate action.
* Uses hospital equipment and other resources correctly and efficiently and acts in accordance with work health and safety requirements.
About You
You will have a minimum of 12-month experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
* Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and/or Cert IV in Anaesthetic Technology.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication.
* Problem solving ability.
* Ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision.
* Flexibility with rostering and commitment to teamwork.
