Our skilled workforce includes welders, boilermakers, painters, insulators, trade assistants, and mechanical fitters. We service a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. We are seeking motivated and reliable Trade Assistants to join our growing team at our CAIRNS location.
Responsibilities:
* Assist tradespeople with various tasks such as maintenance, repairs, and installations
* Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with PPE requirements in an industrial environment
* Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals
* Utilize hand and power tools under the supervision of experienced professionals
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
* Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines
* Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Skills:
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work 40+ hours per week
* Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE usage in an industrial setting
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
* Previous experience using hand tools or power tools preferred but not required
* Possess an OHS Construction Induction (White Card)
Qualifications:

* Own reliable transport and valid driver's license
