Legacy WA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team and provide senior operational leadership across governance, systems, compliance and organisational performance.
Reporting to the CEO, this is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring strong governance, operational planning, compliance oversight and performance management across the organisation.
The Operations Manager will play a key role in strengthening the systems and processes that support Legacy WA to operate effectively, remain audit ready and continue delivering meaningful support to veterans' families.
Working closely with the CEO and Board, this role helps ensure the organisation operates with strong accountability, clear processes and effective operational systems that support the organisation's long‐term mission.

About the Role
The Operations Manager leads the organisation's operational and corporate services functions and is responsible for strengthening governance frameworks, operational systems and performance reporting.
The role focuses on implementing strategy through strong operational planning, risk management, compliance oversight and structured reporting processes.
Success in this role will be reflected in strong governance practices, effective operational systems and clear organisational performance oversight.
Operational Leadership and Performance
* Lead operational planning aligned with organisational strategy
* Develop KPI frameworks and performance reporting processes
* Monitor organisational performance, risk and compliance and report to the CEO and Board
Governance, Risk and Compliance
* Maintain governance frameworks and risk management systems
* Oversee compliance monitoring processes and regulatory obligationsCoordinate internal and external audits
* Manage procurement controls and contract oversight
Policy and Systems Oversight
* Lead policy and procedure development and maintain document control systems
* Oversee ICT systems, WHS frameworks, business continuity planning and volunteer compliance
Leadership and Team Management
* Provide leadership and support to the Business Operations Coordinator and Operations Assistant
* Drive operational improvement and strengthen organisational systems and processes
Financial and Resource Oversight
* Support budgeting processes and monitor operational expenditure
* Ensure adherence to financial delegations and internal controls
* Promote value for money practices and strong documentation that supports financial integrity and audit readiness
About You
You are a confident operational leader who understands the importance of strong governance, effective systems and disciplined organisational management.
You enjoy strengthening operational frameworks, improving systems and ensuring organisations run efficiently and responsibly.
This role is suited to candidates with substantial experience in senior operations, governance or compliance roles, ideally within a regulated or not‐for‐profit environment.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated senior experience in operations, governance or compliance roles
* Experience working within a regulated or not‐for‐profit environment
* Strong capability in developing systems, policies and performance reporting frameworks
* Knowledge of risk management, compliance and audit requirements
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive organisational improvement
Experience reporting to executive leadership or boards is highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in business, management, governance or a related field are desirable.
