2 x Team Managers, Operations


Description:

Position Overview:

We are now looking to appoint 2 x Team Managers for our retail operations facility in Laverton, Melbourne.

These roles are frontline leadership positions on an afternoon shift, 5-day roster, Tuesday to Saturday.


Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure site safety, compliance, profitability, and cost-efficiency while delivering high customer satisfaction and service.
* Role model company values and lead by example, enabling effective collaboration between teams.
* Maintain agreed customer service levels and regularly review operational performance taking corrective actions when necessary.
* Support and manage team performance, reviewing KPIs, ensuring productivity outcomes, and inventory management.
* Ensure daily and weekly labour and resourcing requirements are met.
* Train team members to operate machinery/equipment and understand warehouse work systems.
* Engage the team frequently to drive a constructive and positive culture.


Requirements:

* Extensive experience in a similar role (logistics/transport industry preferred).
* A background in retail logistics within a distribution centre or fast-paced FMCG environment.
* Strong understanding of safety procedures, product safety, quality, and legality issues.
* Excellent experience and knowledge of multi-temperature operations.
* Qualifications in Logistics Management or business discipline, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
* Strong leadership skills managing a large-sized operational team.
* Experience and knowledge with transport/route distribution advantageous.
* Basic understanding of profit and loss, and other KPIs driving storage, handling, and distribution costs.
* Basic knowledge of labour cost control and improvement, and the relationship between labour and handling revenue.
