A well-established civil contractor with a strong and growing South East Queensland pipeline is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of civil infrastructure and subdivision projects.
This role is suited to a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable being accountable for outcomes across cost, program, contracts, and delivery. You will work closely with the Directors, Operations Manager, and Construction Manager and are expected to run projects with minimal supervision, supported by practical systems and an experienced internal team.
Projects are predominantly local and range from smaller, fast-moving jobs through to more complex, higher value works as the business continues to grow.

The Role
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of civil projects typically ranging from $1M to $10M+. Project scope includes subdivisions, roadworks, bulk earthworks, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Full project ownership from award through to completion
* Active management of budgets, forecasting, cashflow, and cost reporting
* Programming and sequencing works to drive productivity on site
* Managing contracts, variations, claims, and extensions of time in line with contractual requirements
* Leading Project Engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Managing client relationships across developers, builders, and local authorities
* Navigating stakeholder demands with confidence and professionalism
* Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are embedded in daily delivery
About You
This role will suit a Project Manager who is comfortable operating in a hands-on contractor environment and understands that the project ultimately sits with them.
You will ideally bring:
* Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in Australia as a Project Manager
* Strong commercial capability, including cost control, forecasting, and variation management
* Confidence managing contracts and understanding key notice requirements and risk points
* The ability to manage up, down, and sideways across clients, site teams, and subcontractors
* Practical experience across subdivisions, drainage, bulk earthworks, and roadworks
* A communication style that works on site and in client meetings
* A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
