Job Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team in Sydney. The successful applicant will be responsible for enhancing the site's mechanical systems capabilities to increase overall equipment efficiency.
The Role
This is a full-time permanent position available at our Wetherill Park site, which serves as our hub for the eastern seaboard. The incumbent must be flexible to work 12.5-hour rotational shifts (Day & Night), including alternative weekends.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance inspections.
* Plan and coordinate the testing and inspection of products and processes, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure all work is carried out per safe engineering practices, as well as legal and food safety requirements.
* Understand benchmarking and implement plans for continuous improvement opportunities.
* Prioritize safety above all else and support a safety-first culture.
About You
* Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade, Equivalent or higher.
* Previous experience working with dairy processing, liquid mixing or powder handling equipment, that may include pumps, valves, heat exchangers and tanks.
* Strong problem-solving skill - fault finding and root cause of breakdowns. Ability to work independently as well as work in a team.
