The Transport and Civil Infrastructure Business Unit has recently been through a significant transformation. They are a diverse and highly engaged group with a new leadership team delivering some of council's most important and visible work that impacts the whole community. The Division includes the following teams: Construction and Maintenance (civil); Transport and Civil Infrastructure Assets; Community Transport, Parking and Fleet; Transport Network and Business Operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Transport and Assets, the Executive Manager Transport and Civil Infrastructure will lead a dynamic team in overseeing and facilitating the strategic and operational direction of council's civil infrastructure, road assets and transport network.
As a leader you will be calm and deliberate in your approach. You will build culture, support innovation and act decisively. You will actively develop your teams keeping focus on the needs of the community. Your strategic thinking skills will enable you to navigate complex challenges in a very busy environment.
To be Successful in Your Application
* You will have an outstanding track record as a leader of multidisciplinary teams within a relevant environment.
* Tertiary Qualifications in engineering, business, transport, asset management or another relevant discipline and equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Experience leading continuous improvements in business operations with a focus on building cohesive teams and a strong, supportive culture.
