Your new role
As a Senior Property Claims Consultant, you will provide essential case management support over a 6‑month contract, stepping into a busy portfolio and managing claims end‑to‑end with confidence.
* Handle property and related claims from lodgement through to settlement
* Assess, validate and negotiate outcomes in line with policy conditions and authority limits
* Review documentation and process payments accurately
* Manage enquiries from brokers, insured clients and internal stakeholders
* Provide clear guidance, resolve issues and maintain high service standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement of claims processes and best practice
* Support the National Property Claims Manager with reviews, updates and ad‑hoc tasks
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in general insurance claims, ideally with property/commercial exposure
* Strong technical knowledge of insurance principles, policy interpretation and claims processes
* Experience working directly with brokers and insured clients
* Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills
* Strong analytical ability, accuracy and sound judgement
* Working knowledge of relevant legislation
* Ability to manage multiple claims concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
