Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Transport Attendant to join our team in the East Gippsland region. As an Ambulance Transport Attendant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to patients in need.
About The Role

As an Ambulance Transport Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering patient-focused care during non-emergency pre- and post-hospital transport. You will ensure the efficient and effective transportation of patients while maintaining their comfort and respect throughout the journey.
Main Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment and Intervention: Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
2. Patient Care and Treatment: Provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport to meet individual needs.
3. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transport experience.
4. Problem Solving: Perform independently and problem solve within established policies and procedures to address any issues that may arise during transport.
5. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless communication and effective transportation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registered nurse registration), or other equivalent qualification for Ambulance Officers recognized by RFDS or DHHS
* Evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment, completion of a minimum of 400 hours operational experience under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor, successful completion of clinical skills assessment
* Availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 days
* Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
* Compassionate, professional, and dedicated to providing excellent service
* Experience working in the NEPT sector in an equal role desirable but not essential
* Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Drivers Licence, State driver history reports, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia
