Are you an HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, people-first environments? Village Cinemas is seeking a Human Resources Officer for a 12 month contract role, to coach and support our guest-facing leaders in managing all people matters including recruitment, performance and development, confidently, compliantly, and with care.

 * This is a site-based role with one day per week at the Support Office.
As the Human Resources Officer, you will:
 * Partner with site leaders to manage and resolve people issues, from performance and conduct to engagement and motivation.
 * Build leader capability by guiding managers through the "how" and "why" of people processes ensuring confident, compliant, and consistent action.
 * Provide trusted HR advice aligned with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and our company policy.
 * Support recruitment and onboarding, ensuring leaders are confident in selecting and setting up great talent.
 * Track trends and insights in ER, turnover, and capability to identify where extra support is needed.
 * Promote positive workplace culture, encouraging early intervention and proactive problem-solving.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
 * Experience: 3+ years in HR, ideally in a business partnering or advisory capacity within a multi-site and service-driven environment.
 * Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment legislation, compliance, and best practice people management.
 * Skills: Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution. You simplify complexity and build confidence in others.
 * Mindset: Hands-on, approachable, and solution-focused. You guide, support, and empower leaders to act.
