About the Role

You'll work closely with a Relationship Manager to develop trusted relationships with small and medium-sized enterprise owners. Your goal will be to drive growth through acquisition, increase share of wallet and referrals, while leveraging insights and data from new systems and technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their business banking career. It would also suit individuals with other financial services experience who are familiar with risk management concepts and regulatory requirements such as Know your Customer and AML (anti-money laundering).

Familiarity with accounting principles and exposure to Agribusiness are also beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Banking Professional, you'll:

* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customers' businesses and financial needs
* Act in the best interest of customers and provide suitable products and services to support their needs
* Provide solutions for account maintenance and customer needs
* Maintain a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures
* Collaborate with product partners and other stakeholders to fulfill customer needs
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

* Prior experience in commercial banking frontline roles and commercial lending
* Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers
* Attention to detail when reviewing agreements and contracts
* Ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations, considering both qualitative and quantitative factors (the 5Cs of credit)
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep track of customer documentation, banking transactions, and internal communications
* Familiarity with risk management concepts, particularly in credit risk, market risk, and understanding of and ability to analyse financial statements
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as KYC (Know your Customer) and AML (anti-money laundering)
