About the Role
Lyndoch Living is a dynamic, purpose-driven aged care community where exceptional care and genuine connection come together. With 24/7 nursing support and the ability to care for residents with high or complex needs, our five-residence home allows staff to deliver tailored care that evolves with residents—all in one supportive, well-resourced environment. As a Food Services Assistant, you'll work closely with our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals for residents, while supporting our Food Safety Program and helping to create a friendly, welcoming dining experience every day. This is a casual position and requires flexibility in availability, making it well suited to candidates who can adapt to varying shifts while being part of a supportive and caring team.
No two days are the same! As Food Service Assistant you will:
* Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
* Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
* Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
* Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
About You
You'll thrive with us if you have:
* Completion of a Food Handling Course
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Previous experience in residential aged care food services.
