Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for:
* Lawn & grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding and the use of a brush cutter. Extensive mowing requirements during warmer temperatures
* Landscape maintenance (including not limited to fertilising of trees/gardens/shrub/pruning and removal, spraying of pesticides/herbicides, horticultural activities, irrigation infrastructure)
* Landscape construction across installation of footpaths, garden edges, water features, irrigation infrastructure
* General repairs, maintenance and cleaning duties associated with key Canberra infrastructure
* Coordination of visitor/contractor access to the facilities in the portfolio
* Reporting of faults or failures in the operation or management of any aspect of the precinct
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following.
* Current Driving Licence (C class)
* Chemical Certificate (highly desirable, not essential)
* White Card and Asbestos Awareness
* Silica Awareness Ticket (desirable)
* Truck Licence (desirable, not essential)
* Team player with professional attitude
