Job Overview
Our organization seeks a highly skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.
* Inspect vehicles to detect and diagnose engine and other faults.
* Perform general servicing repairs of light motor vehicles.
* Assess vehicle parts for roadworthiness and replacement needs.
* Remove and install engines and gearboxes as required.
* Disassemble engines to inspect thoroughly.
* Carry out timing belt/chain replacements, 4wd repairs, and upgrades.
* Repair faulty parts and replace worn or defective components.
* Reassemble mechanical components according to service manuals.
* Conduct regular maintenance services, including oil changes, engine tune-ups, and lubricant applications, to ensure smoother vehicle operation and compliance with regulations.
* Run computer diagnostics and inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or list necessary repairs.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III (including at least two years of on-the-job training) or Certificate IV and at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
