What you will be working on
Our engineering teams design IoT Smart Lockers using modern tools. Our Electronic Engineers work as part of a team alongside Mechanical Engineers, Software Developers, Designers and Product Managers.
Our teams share customer goals and work together across disciplines to solve customer problems. This means you would work on the problem from the start and be involved in solving and delivering the solutions. We are in a fast-moving industry, so we focus on giving our teams the tools and space to innovate and deliver on what our customers need.
What you’ll do
- Design and review schematics & PCB (Altium) for mixed-signal, power and digital subsystems.
- Bring-up and verify hardware with lab equipment; plan and execute test.
- Contribute to EMC & safety compliance and reliability testing.
- Support DFM with contract manufacturers; investigate issues and drive fixes.
- Collaborate with product, firmware & mechanical disciplines from problem discovery to shipped product.
Role requirements
- Degree in electronics engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years commercial experience in an Electronics Engineering role.
- Sound knowledge of power, analogue and digital designs.
- Proficiency with test and measurement equipment.
- Electronic product design experience, ideally from concept through to post launch support.
- Strong understanding of the process of product certification
- Experience using EDA software for schematics and PCB layout design. (Altium Designer preferred)
- Follow good engineering practices and processes
- Familiarity with signal and power integrity principles, EMC, regulatory and safety standards.
- Willingness to work closely with other disciplines to understand customer problems and solve them together.
- Willing to work across the whole product lifecycle, including design, certification and DFM.
- Knowledge and some experience with embedded firmware development & diagnostics.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers.
- Experience with international compliance standard and processes.
