Electronics Technician Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for fault diagnosing using schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software. Additionally, maintaining various electronics cabling, component-level PCB repairs, light fabrication work, and accurate data entry are required tasks.
* A strong background in the Energy industry, knowledge of computer networking, serial communications, and problem-solving skills with lateral thinking are highly desirable.
* Adaptable individuals who can work autonomously or as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, are preferred.
A restricted Electrical licence or above is considered advantageous. This role requires working in hot conditions during summer, often exceeding 45 degrees Celsius. Regular roster includes FIFO even time roster with 12-hour days, typically 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. However, this may change seasonally to mitigate fatigue-related incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance/Repair of pressure and mass flow measuring devices
* Diagnosing faults using schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software
* Maintaining various Halliburton specific software and hardware
* Component-level PCB repairs
* Light fabrication work
* Accurate data entry
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Prior experience in the Energy industry
* Knowledge of computer networking
* Serial communications
* Lateral thinking skills with ability to problem solve
* Adaptable self-starter that can work autonomously or in a team
* Exemplary interpersonal communication skills
* Restricted Electrical licence or above
