Job Description

The Visitor Centre Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a prominent tourist attraction, guaranteeing an exceptional guest experience and providing administrative support to the organization's Natural Resources team.

This exciting position involves supervising volunteers, implementing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance visitor engagement and experiences, processing tour bookings, handling visitor inquiries, and maintaining the booking and reservation system.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee centre operations including retail sales, inventory, and bookings
* Process tour bookings, handle visitor inquiries, and maintain the booking and reservation system
* Coordinate, supervise, and support volunteers, providing training as required
* Plan, coordinate, and host tours, events, and educational experiences aligned with community and organisational objectives
* Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and tour groups
* Assist in developing tourism experiences and deliver exceptional service standards to elevate the visitor experience
* Collaborate with the Communications team to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, social media content, and promotional initiatives
* Implement marketing strategies and assist with the development of educational materials to increase visitor numbers
