Job description
Gaamben Earthmoving Repairs are currently looking to recruit an experienced qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician and or 4th Year Apprentice to join their team in Orange NSW 2800.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
* Running and analysing diagnostic tests on a wide range of Industrial machinery and equipment.
* Maintain, test and repair/replace mechanical assemblies on heavy plant/machinery and tractors
* Perform assessments and repairs in the field and workshop
* Perform preventative maintenance
* Fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products such as machinery, equipment and measuring instruments
* Work within timeframes and servicing schedules and maintain records
* Installing equipment and testing operations
Skills and Abilities:
* Certificate III in Mobile plant technology Or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* A minimum of three years' experience
* The ability to work in a team environment
Day-to-day
* selects tools and equipment
* assembles and installs new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems
* estimates material costs and quantities, and machine requirements
* performs and directs field and laboratory tests
* collects and analyses data, carries out complex computations and prepares diagrams
* organises and supervises inspection and maintenance of machines and plant
* ensures that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
