Role Description
This is a casual on-site role for a Cook/Chef at Kealba Hotel, located in Sunshine Ave, Melbourne, Victoria 3021, Australia, VIC. The Cook/Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking food, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, creating and revising menus, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, and adhering to food safety and health regulations. Additional responsibilities include managing kitchen inventory, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring timely service to meet customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in cooking techniques, food preparation, and food presentation
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with health regulations
* Experience in kitchen operations and follow recipes
* Strong time management, organizational, and teamwork skills
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and maintain attention to detail
* Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred
* Formal culinary training or certification is a plus
