As a Senior Associate in our CIPS Audit team, you'll support the delivery of high-quality external audit services, helping clients comply with regulatory requirements and improve financial reporting across a diverse range of industries. You'll also leverage emerging technologies such as AI and next‐generation audit tools to enhance audit quality, streamline processes, and deliver deeper insights that add value to our clients.
What you'll do
* Assist in planning and performing external audits of financial statements in accordance with regulatory and professional standards
* Conduct substantive testing and detailed audit procedures to identify financial statement risks and ensure accuracy and compliance
* Help assess internal controls and risk management processes to support audit conclusions
* Prepare clear and concise audit documentation and reports for clients and senior team members
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within audit engagements to enhance efficiency and quality
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve complex accounting and audit issues
What we're looking for
* Audit expertise: 2-4 years of experience in external audit, ideally with exposure to CIPS or similar industry sectors, and progress towards or completion of a recognised CA qualification
* Analytical skills: Ability to analyse financial information, identify risks, and apply professional judgement to audit processes
* Teamwork and development: Strong collaboration skills with a willingness to learn from and support senior colleagues
* Communication skills: Ability to prepare audit findings clearly and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
* Industry awareness and regulatory understanding: Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ongoing learning
