We are in search for HP’s Next Senior Category Manager for Commercial Desktops- ANZ, this role is responsible for managing HP's Desktop category. This is a high-profile role that requires a strong leader with a track record of managing a large business, taking calculated risks, and driving results. The successful candidate will work closely with the head of Commercial to develop and implement strategies for the Business Desktop category.
The key responsibilities of the Senior Category Manager include:
* Owning and leading the strategy for Business Desktops End-to-End, in close collaboration with the head of Commercial.
* Managing a large PnL and driving revenue growth, share and profitability for the business.
* Engaging with senior-level stakeholders, including heads of departments, to achieve the outcomes needed for the business.
* Being outcomes-driven, loving a challenge, and being collaborative and adaptable.
* Demonstrating strategic thinking and influencing skills to drive key business decisions.
* Being a strong communicator and positive person who will lift the culture of the team.
* Being analytical and having a healthy dose of competitive paranoia to stay ahead of market trends and competitors.
* You’ll Lead the overall engagement with one or several sales/Marketing/Finance teams.
* You’ll also lead engagement partnership with external IT vendor.
Some of the Knowledge and Skills expected of this role are:
* IT industry knowledge.
* Business planning skills, multidimensional analysis
* Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
* Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
* Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
* Leadership skills and cross functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing.
* A Growth Mindset
Experience Required:
* Typically 12+ years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experienced preferred.
* Demonstrated Management/ Team leadership experience.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a large business and delivering results. They will have strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. They will be a strong communicator and a positive person who can lift the culture of the team. They will also be analytical and have a healthy dose of competitive paranoia to stay ahead of market trends and competitors.
