Job Description
We are seeking a qualified trade person to join our Maintenance Team to provide general handyperson services to residential care service.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Officer, you will work autonomously and as a team to provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and urgent maintenance requests and general garden maintenance. The requests are varied – planned maintenance works such as painting, patching and flooring repairs, general pruning and planned mowing, and assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations – no day is the same in Aged Care.
You will be part of a supportive, dedicated team at St Vincent's Care Services Edgecliff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painting, electrician or plumbing
* Experience in Aged Care, Health or Community (highly desirable)
* Ability to perform maintenance works
* Valid Driver's Licence (essential)
* Experience working in a varied work environment
* Customer service mindset – person‐centred organisation
* Planning and time management skills
* Participate in an on‐call roster
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within last 6 months)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role
