Position Summary
The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the full retail operations of Dawntronic across both the store and all online marketplaces. This includes managing sales performance, inventory planning, supplier coordination, online listings, product pricing, customer service standards, staff capability and compliance. The role ensures smooth multi-channel operations and drives strong commercial outcomes for the business.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day retail operations across the physical store and all online sales channels, including Amazon, eBay, Catch and the Shopify website.
Develop sales strategies, merchandising plans and promotional activities tailored to electronics and fast-moving tech categories.
Manage and optimise online product listings, ensuring accurate specifications, competitive pricing, quality images, and updated availability across marketplaces.
Monitor online sales performance, including online platform trends, conversion rates, customer reviews and marketplace metrics.
Coordinate stock forecasting, purchasing, supplier orders and replenishment cycles for high-demand items such as mobile phones, accessories, chargers, smart devices and refurbished units.
Oversee the packing, fulfilment, courier bookings and logistics for online orders, ensuring fast dispatch and accurate tracking.
Supervise and train staff across retail, customer service and order fulfilment areas, ensuring they maintain strong product knowledge and high service standards.
Handle complex or escalated customer enquiries, including device troubleshooting, warranty claims, repair coordination and returns assessments.
Ensure compliance with marketplace policies (e.g. Amazon, eBay, Shopify and etc.), Australian Consumer Law, WHS standards, warranty obligations and data privacy rules.
Review operational performance, sales targets, marketplace fees, margins and stock turnover, and provide regular business reports to management.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate new product opportunities based on customer demand and industry trends.
Oversee store presentation, product displays and accessory merchandising to maximise customer engagement and sales.
Skills and Experience Required
At least 3 years of retail management experience.
Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory control and customer service.
Experience supervising staff and managing day-to-day retail activities.
Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a small business environment with both in-store and online sales.
