About the role
The Assistant Communications Officer will support the delivery of the OCG's Communications strategy, which includes implementation of media and communications plans, content creation and reporting.
We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to:
* Support the development and implementation of media and communications activities, strategies, processes and plans across the Office of the Children's Guardian to achieve business objectives.
* Create content for our digital channels in line with the Office of the Children's Guardian's Social Media plan and online branding, engage with our audiences, and respond with approved messaging.
* Respond to and resolve complex enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information, and the timely and effective resolution of issues.
Key knowledge and experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant related experience in media and communications field.
* Experience and knowledge of social media platforms and best practice, including experience in developing social media content.
* Demonstrated experience in developing communications plans that meet audience and branding objectives.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge and workplace experience.
* Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
* All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current NSW Working with Children Check.
