Graduate / Entry Level Logistics Officer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate, to join our team based in Melbourne. As an entry level Logistics Officer, you will be an integral part of our global operations, where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow, handle key responsibilities such as coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with international regulations. In this role, you will be playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of various aspects of freight transportation.
Comprehensive training will be provided to equip the selected candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role. This opportunity will give you exposure to international freight and logistics industry and can pave the way to a longer-term career within the global logistics field.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Liaising with major carriers, freight forwarders, customers and suppliers to coordinate export shipments.
Managing, compiling, and processing all export documentation and online bookings.
Communicating with internal Transport team and external freight forwarders to ensure cargo is presented to the terminals on time.
Liaising with internal departments to solve supplier enquiries and any billing issues which may arise.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Assisting in liaising with ground handlers to ensure clear loading instructions are provided for each flight respectively.
Assist in resolving any issues or delays in the export process.
Provide support with ad hoc Operations issue.
Skills & Requirements:
Have a qualification in one of the following disciplines: Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good time management and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Have an enthusiastic approach to self‐management and be proactive in all situations.
Committed to career development.
Australian citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with unrestricted working rights, and currently reside in Australia.
