Job Description:
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care in the operating room, recovery room, and pre-operative areas
* Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
* Conduct vital sign assessments and document patient information accurately
* Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to meet unique needs and preferences
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a perioperative setting, preferably in a tertiary hospital environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
