With over a century of mining history, Darlot is a cornerstone operation of Vault Minerals Limited producing high-grade gold production. With a strong legacy, Darlot is focused on the future, optimising production and driving exploration programs to extend the mine's lifespan and uncover new resources. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to Senior Mine Surveyor, the Graduate Mine Surveyor will assist the Survey Department to maintain site survey services at Darlot Operations while gaining knowledge of all aspects of mine surveying. Be able to work safety and in compliance with all Company standards, guidelines and procedures.
This position will be offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Ensure a safe work environment by ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy and free of hazards, reporting these using designated reporting systems.
* Collaborate with the Underground Mining and Technical Services teams to achieve safe and efficient outcomes. Assist with set out, pickups and mark-ups as required for mining.
* Assist with the collection and processing of survey data, production of plans, reports, and other forms of spatial information, including systems to ensure integrity and continued availability of data.
* Ensure good maintenance of company assets by conducting regular pre-start inspections, carrying out minor maintenance notifying appropriate personnel in the appropriate manner when observing items requiring service or repair.
About You
* Bachelor or Diploma in Surveying.
* Graduate Mine Surveyor with a minimum of 1 years of experience and a basic understanding of surveying principles in underground environments.
* Enable attainment of WA Grade 1 or 2 Mine Surveyor's Authorisation is desirable.
* Previous experience with Trimble Total Stations and GPS equipment.
* Developing an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, as well as the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
* Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
* Hold a WA Driver's License (manual C Class)
