Director of Sales and Strategic Growth
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Sales and Strategic Growth to lead our Sponsorship Sales team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Job Responsibilities:
* Identify new business opportunities across the APAC region, focusing on long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
* Sell directly to clients when team members are on annual leave or as needed to support team coverage and continuity.
Leadership and Team Management:
* Act as a Sales Director, helping drive team strategy and supporting the overall success of the sales department.
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of direct reports within the Sponsorship Sales.
Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to support individual and team success. Set and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensure accountability, and support professional development of team members.
Key Requirements:
* Proven leadership experience managing a sales team in a target-driven environment, essential within B2B events or similar industry.
* Top performer with a personal track record of exceeding sales targets and securing major partnerships.
* Mentorship mindset to inspire and grow learning talent within a dynamic team environment.
* Strategic sales acumen with strong commercial instincts and a consultative, relationship-first sales approach.
* Industry expertise with knowledge of the APAC event landscape is highly desirable.
* Event travel willingness to represent the company at key summits and bespoke events across the region.
