About the role
We are seeking a dynamic leader to coordinate grain operations and resources at our Kimba site to achieve high levels of safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership position, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong operational mindset, with a passion for process improvement and safety.
The Operations Supervisor will lead a multi-skilled team responsible for the efficient, safe, and high-quality storage and handling of bulk commodities. From coordinating day-to-day activities to implementing long-term strategies, this role will put you at the centre of regional operations and allow you to directly contribute to the success of our growers and supply chain.
This role offers a rare combination of operational leadership, people management, and strategic execution. Whether it's preparing the site for peak harvest season, troubleshooting logistics challenges, maintaining compliance, or mentoring staff, every day will offer variety and purpose.

Duties
- Supervise and coordinate grain receival, storage, and outloading activities.
- Manage a team of operational staff, providing guidance and support to achieve production targets.
- Maintain accurate records of grain transactions, quality assessments, and operational reports.
- Enforce and champion safety protocols, ensuring a secure and compliant workplace.
- Coordinate stock movements and manage inventory to optimize operations.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and ensure seamless facility maintenance.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Cultivate lasting relationships with our grower customers, ensuring exceptional service.
About you
- Proven leadership experience in operations, ideally within grain handling, logistics, agriculture, or a similar industry.
- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Hands-on, practical approach with the ability to lead by example.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to manage teams and build relationships.
- Skilled in planning, coordinating, and prioritising tasks in a dynamic, seasonal environment.
- Confident problem-solver with sound decision-making abilities.
- Motivated, adaptable, and ready to take ownership of a key site in the supply chain.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using operational and reporting systems.
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management (or willingness to obtain) highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence.
