Responsibilities
- Effective workshop management including monitoring mechanical workmanship and ensuring a high level of Quality and Safety.
- Liaising extensively with customers, organising all client bookings, job scheduling and managing diverse client and mechanical issues.
- Ensuring Technicians are explicit of their responsibilities and tasks for the day, and preparing detailed job cards.
- Implementing effective systems to improve time management and Technicians' productivity.
- Monitoring and ordering all parts, liasing with suppliers, negotiating prices if required and ensuring cost margin are met.
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with various Fleet companies like Fleetcare
- Ensuring clients timelines and expectations are met at all times and increased customer confidence.
- Preparing all client accounts, job costings, invoices, and resolving client conflicts to positive outcomes as required.
- Maintaining excellent communication with clients, clearly explaining vehicle issues, and advising of costs.
- Upselling as required, always appropriately to vehicle and driver needs.
- Exercising a high level of safety and housekeeping at all times, and maintaining a hazard-free workplace for all staff, which also included zero-tolerance for bullying in the workshop.
- We may also assign you other duties, where reasonable for your position, training and experience.
