The Kimberley Hotel, Halls Creek is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Commis Chef to join our kitchen team.
To be successful in your application you must have previous experience in a high volume establishment. You will possess the ability to self-motivate, enjoy working in a friendly team environment and remain positive in a busy kitchen with multiple streams of work.
Kimberley Hotel has 80 guest rooms, 3 bars (sports, cocktail and saloon) and a restaurant. Our menus provide an a la carte service to guests and catering.
About the role
* A la carte menu in restaurant (seasonal) and sports bar
* Be an integral support to the heart of the business
* Kitchen operates 7 days a week, 5:30am to 9pm
* Work on a rotational roster
Our candidates
* Have a minimum of 1 years previous experience in a similar busy environment.
* Have a positive, can-do attitude with a very hands on approach
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Meet food quality and service standards
* Thrive under pressure in a fast paced and friendly team environment
* Previously worked and lived in regional Australia (not essential) or be comfortable to work and live remotely
* Able to commit to work a minimum of 6 months.
