YWCA Canberra is searching for an exceptional Program Manager/Educational Leader to spearhead our School Age Care service in the heart of Tuggeranong Valley in Canberra.About The RoleAs our Program Manager/Educational Leader, you will take the lead of a passionate team of educators, crafting innovative programs and nurturing environments where every child can thrive. This permanent part-time position is for 32 hours per week, across 40 weeks (in line with the ACT school term). You will receive support from a specialised central team that includes an Operations Director, Quality and Compliance Manager, Quality Support team, Roster Clerk, and Accounts/Enrolments team.What You Will NeedA Diploma of Education and Care or equivalent – ACECQA approved (transcript required)Proven experience in developing comprehensive educational programsUnderstanding of children’s diverse needs, including those with varying abilitiesPrior experience working with children requiring specialised care is advantageousThorough understanding of National Quality Framework and Regulations, encompassing National Quality Standards, My Time Our Place 2.0, and up-to-date best practices and pedagogies in Care and Education (essential)Exceptional leadership and teamwork skillsFull driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred)Working with Vulnerable People Registration (ACT) or willingness to obtainAustralian Citizenship or eligibility to work in AustraliaSatisfactory Police Check and First Aid certificate or willingness to obtainWhy Join Us?At YWCA Canberra Children Services, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, dedicated to creating a brighter future for children.
