Everyday Business Banking (EBB) is a centre of excellence for innovation development and capability within the Group. Merchant Solutions sits within EBB, and this position play a key leadership role by driving a dedicated focus on the Merchant Domain strategic priorities, key customer opportunities and partnership opportunities that demonstrate value in new and different ways. This role is accountable for the Merchants Partnerships capabilities, Go-to-Market approach, voice of customer, and Portfolio strategy. The team is critical to delivering on CBA's intent of reshaping our relationship with Merchants, creating new opportunities to deliver commercial value and driving our NPS agenda.

The Executive Manager for Merchant Customer Portfolio and Partnerships is responsible for leading a team who deliver initiatives across the Merchants Domain, which is comprised of five Crews. These Crews deliver Merchant Solutions in Card present and eCommerce solutions.
**Your responsibilities**:
The Executive Manager, Merchant Customer Portfolio and Partnerships is a highly visible and strategic role responsible for driving Domain strategic priorities, customer enhancements and revenue via commercial agreements with a diverse set of partners. This role is responsible for delivering strategic cohesion across Merchants Crews, and delivering a compelling customer value proposition to market, across both existing and new products, experiences, and value-added services.
- Coordinate Domain strategic narrative, priorities, governance and reporting with cohesion across multiple integrated technology and business crews
- Drive and champion the Merchant voice of customer, leading SMEs to analyse, report and action customer breakpoints, complaint themes and opportunities for improvement
- Lead delivery of strategic work initiatives - either assessing new opportunities, managing complex issues, or driving strategic outcomes across the portfolio. Requires strategic toolkit and advanced stakeholder engagement across a dynamic environment
- Lead the Merchant Go-to-Market team, delivering market insights, compelling value propositions, and optimising value through the customer lifecycle
- Identify, engage, assess and structure commercial/partnership terms with companies that may present strategic opportunities, or existing supplier relationships with new agendas
- Drive superior execution of the agreed strategy and initiatives
- Engage with cross-functional (Group Strategy, X15, Product, Segments, etc.) teams to identify white-space partnership opportunities to pursue
- Drive project delivery with the right urgency, ability to resolve issues pertaining to delivery blockers proactively, and escalate, where required
- Risk management across the entire Partnerships, Customer and Go-to-Market portfolio.
- Build and maintain productive and effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels (i.e. segments, support offices, risk, legal, compliance, finance, etc.)
- Protect the Bank's reputation and represent the bank at internal and external forums as senior leader
- Create a high performing team culture and develop amazing people, successors and build talent pipeline
- Management Reporting - this role will work with various Finance teams to ensure that all required reporting is in place.

- 12+ years' experience in people leadership position driving business outcomes. Strategy experience highly beneficial
- Highly entrepreneurial, with a willingness to push the envelope and champion the embracing of non-traditional partners to reinvent processes, products, engagement approach, company culture, etc.
- Superior stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience leading and working in Agile is preferred
- Experience in business negotiations, working with many groups to achieve goals
- Ability to generate creative solutions to challenging partner negotiations and opportunities encountered in complex, and dynamic environments
- Strong numerical and conceptual analytical skills and the ability to quickly identify fundamental economic and business issues
- Rock-solid commercial acumen and business judgment with the ability to think like an entrepreneur and execute quickly
- Results oriented, and motivated self-starter with a st
