Care Worker Job Description

The role of a Care Worker involves providing personal care and support to individuals in their own homes. This includes assisting with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as supporting clients with their social needs.

Key Responsibilities:
\
* Assist clients with domestic duties and household chores
\
* Prepare and cook meals for clients
\
* Provide social support and encourage engagement in social activities
\
* Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and social outings
\
* Provide respite care to give carers a break
\
Requirements:
\
* Previous experience as a Support Worker in Home Care or Disability desirable
\
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community) desirable – qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework
\
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence required
\
* Reliable vehicle to transport between customer locations – NSW C Class Motor Vehicle
\
* Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
\
* Vaccinated against Covid and Flu highly recommended
\
* Basic computer and smartphone working knowledge
\
