About the Role:
SA Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Allied Health professional to lead the Allied Health Restorative Care (AHRC) team. This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate restorative care services across Adelaide's northern metropolitan region and drive high‑quality, patient‑centred outcomes.
As the AHRC Team Coordinator, you will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership to an interprofessional Allied Health team. Your role will support integrated assessment, care planning, service delivery, and discharge coordination for eligible patients.
A key focus of this position is leading the implementation of effective discharge planning aligned with the Return Home First philosophy, ensuring patients transition safely and efficiently back to their home environment. You will foster a collaborative, innovative, and supportive team culture that prioritises functional recovery and independence.
This role requires strong clinical reasoning and expertise in restorative therapy, including complex case management, advanced therapeutic interventions, and functional restoration strategies. You will act as a senior clinical resource, guiding clinicians in assessment, intervention planning, and outcome evaluation, while contributing to ongoing service development and quality improvement.
Working within a fast‑paced, ward‑based environment, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, deliver timely interventions, and collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to optimise patient outcomes, reduce hospital admissions, and enhance service efficiency.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for one of the following Allied Health disciplines working in the service, specifically:
* Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia OR
* Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
