About the role
A unique and exciting opportunity exists to be part of the Mental Health team at Eastern Health. We are seeking a Registered Nurse or to join the leadership team at the friendly Maroondah Mobile Support Team (MMSTS)
MMSTS offers community recovery orientated services, consultation, assessment and treatment and support to people with experiencing mental ill health, and their carers and families, between the ages of 16 and 64 who live in the Municipalities of Maroondah, Knox and Yarra Ranges seven days per week.
MMSTS is co-located with the Murnong, Yarra Ranges Continuing Care Teams, Maroondah Psychiatric Assessment Recovery Centre (PARC), Maroondah Community Care Units, at the Murnong Clinic in Ringwood East. About you
For this dynamic role we require candidates, who:
• Hold current registration with AHPRA.
• Have well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication skills in all professional domains of practice.
• Have the ability to provide leadership within the Community Mental Health Team setting; in the form of role modelling, mentoring, and working with consumers who have a more complex lived experience of mental ill health; providing support and strategies to other clinicians around how to support these consumers.
• Provide consistent, effective clinical and operational leadership in keeping with the key objectives and service requirements of the AMHS Rehabilitation Services, and in line with the organisational and strategic direction of the Manager AMHS Rehabilitation Services.
• Work collaboratively with the Consultant psychiatrist, the MMSTS Senior Clinician and the Manager AMHS Rehabilitation Services in the implementation and maintenance of professional clinical practice and standards including the implementation of the Collaborative Recovery Model.
• Can liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required and manage access and flow for the MMSTS
• Possess well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
• Are highly accountable and display a supportive and engaging style
• Have commitment to supervised practice, ongoing professional development and further developing skills in leadership and clinical mental health.
• Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communication skills in all professional domains of practice.
• Work a Monday to Friday roster within the hours – 5pm. (Possibility to work other shifts as discussed with the successful applicant)
• Hold a valid full driver’s license.
