The Fundraising and Partnerships Executive is a full-time, onsite role, with travel required and with occasional work required outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends. Ronald McDonald House North Australia supports flexible, family-friendly working arrangements, with work times adaptable to the right candidate while remaining aligned to the needs of our mission. This role will be based in Townsville but will also be focusing on both Cairns & Darwin too.
This role is available due to an internal career progression opportunity, highlighting our focus on growing and supporting our people to succeed.
The Role
About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to drive sustainable revenue growth and build strategic partnerships that support our vital mission. Reporting to the Fundraising & Partnerships Lead, you will be instrumental in developing and executing fundraising initiatives and cultivating meaningful relationships with corporate partners, individual donors, and community organisations. This role is essential to ensuring Ronald McDonald House can continue to provide safe, welcoming accommodation and support services to families during their time of greatest need.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with corporate sponsors, major donors, and community partners to secure ongoing financial support across Townsville, Cairns & Darwin.
* Support fundraising events, activities and appeals that engage the community and generate funds for Ronald McDonald House.
* Manage fundraising databases and donor records, ensuring accurate tracking of donations, pledges and donor communications.
* Prepare compelling fundraising proposals, grant applications and reports that effectively communicate the impact of Ronald McDonald House.
* Collaborate with marketing and communications to develop promotional materials and campaigns that support fundraising objectives.
* Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, service clubs, schools and community groups to create partnership opportunities.
* Monitor fundraising performance against targets and provide regular reporting to management and stakeholders.
* Represent Ronald McDonald House North Australia at community events, networking opportunities and partnership meetings.
* Support with operational needs as required.
* Activate corporate volunteers and community supporters.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in fundraising, development, partnerships or related roles within the not-for-profit, community services or charitable sector.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing fundraising campaigns and securing funding from diverse sources.
* Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate the mission and impact of organisations persuasively.
* Proficiency with fundraising databases, CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Sound financial literacy and ability to manage budgets and track fundraising performance against targets.
* Project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously.
* A genuine passion for community service and alignment with Ronald McDonald House values and mission.
* Desirable: experience in event management, grant writing or working with healthcare-related organisations.
